Netsia Wins Network X Award for SEBA Innovation

By November 6, 2025No Comments

We’re thrilled to congratulate our member Netsia on their impressive win at the Network X Awards 2025! Netsia took home the Outstanding Multi-Gigabit Fibre Access Innovation award for their BB Suite product, a hardened distribution of SEBA (SDN-Enabled Broadband Access) that brings carrier-grade performance and scalability to open broadband networks.

The Network X Awards celebrate global telecom innovation and excellence, and this year’s ceremony took place aboard a luxury vessel cruising the Seine in Paris, honoring the organizations driving the next generation of broadband networks.

Recognition for Real-World Impact

This prestigious industry recognition highlights Netsia’s leadership in driving open source transformation in telecommunications. The award-winning work centers on Netsia’s collaboration with Türk Telekom to deploy BB Suite, a project that has set new benchmarks for the industry and demonstrated how open, cloud-native broadband architectures can succeed in production environments.

Through this partnership, Türk Telekom became the first operator in the world to lead a large-scale, open source-based access network transformation. By implementing SEBA-VOLTHA, the cloud-native, open source broadband access management platform hosted by Linux Foundation Broadband, Türk Telekom achieved:

  • Vendor neutrality across their access infrastructure
  • Significant cost reductions through open source adoption
  • Enhanced service agility via microservice-based architecture
  • Future-proof infrastructure ready for next-generation services

Netsia continues to extend the success of BB Suite through additional operator collaborations, further demonstrating the flexibility and scalability of open broadband architectures.

Innovation That Shapes the Future

What makes this achievement particularly significant is how Netsia demonstrated that open source solutions can deliver enterprise-grade performance and reliability at massive scale. The SEBA Project proves that operators can break free from traditional vendor lock-in while modernizing their networks to meet the demands of multi-gigabit fiber access.
