SUMMARY:Webinar: Building the Intelligent Broadband Network: Open Source\, Standards\, and AI in Practice
DESCRIPTION:Open source software and open standards are increasingly foundational to modern broadband networks\, but their real value is unlocked when they evolve together. In this LF Broadband webinar\, we will be joined by representatives of the Broadband Forum to explore how productive collaboration between open source communities and standards bodies has delivered tangible results for operators\, from long-standing VOLTHA alignment with CloudCO to the next phase of cooperation enabled by WT-525 and related efforts. Speakers will reflect on what has worked in practice\, how current alignment efforts are reducing integration risk and accelerating deployment\, and how these foundations create new opportunities for applying AI in broadband networks\, without sacrificing interoperability or operational rigor. \nFeaturing: \n• Bruno Cornaglia — Vodafone\n• Manuel Paul — Deutsche Telekom\n• Bjoern Nagel — Deutsche Telekom\n• Serkant Uluderya — Netsia \nRegister for free.

SUMMARY:Connected Britain 2026
DESCRIPTION:September 9 – 10\, 2026 | London\, United Kingdom\nterrapinn.com/conference/connected-britain \nOverview\nLF Broadband will be represented at Connected Britain 2026\, the UK’s largest gathering of digital infrastructure operators\, alt-nets\, policymakers\, and technology partners. Held in London on September 9 and 10\, the event convenes the community shaping how the United Kingdom builds\, funds\, and modernises its national broadband and connectivity infrastructure. \nLF Broadband on the Agenda\nFrancisco de Carvalho\, LF Broadband Governing Board voting representative and Radisys\, will speak on Wednesday\, September 10 at 11:40 in the session Next-generation monetisation: Unlocking value in connectivity and beyond. \nThe session sits directly on top of the technical foundation LF Broadband has been building with the community. VOLTHA and SEBA give operators a vendor-neutral abstraction layer for PON\, together with the telemetry and open interfaces needed to launch\, differentiate\, and monetise new services across multi-vendor access networks. That foundation is already in production with Deutsche Telekom\, Türk Telekom\, and Reliance Jio\, and it is a prerequisite for the AI-assisted operations models operators are beginning to deploy in the access layer. \nIndividual sessions cannot be linked directly. The full Connected Britain 2026 agenda is available at terrapinn.com/conference/connected-britain/Agenda.stm. \nAbout the Event\nConnected Britain assembles the operators\, investors\, vendors\, and public-sector leaders responsible for the next phase of UK connectivity\, from full-fibre rollout and rural coverage to 5G\, satellite integration\, and the policy environment underpinning the country’s digital economy. Organiser Terrapinn expects the 2026 edition to convene approximately 8\,000 industry experts\, innovators\, and policymakers. \nThe event is directly relevant to LF Broadband’s 2026 priorities. UK altnets and incumbent operators are actively expanding XGS-PON\, evaluating multi-vendor access architectures\, and navigating the cost and sovereignty pressures that make open source\, disaggregated broadband platforms increasingly attractive. \nRegister\nFull agenda and registration: terrapinn.com/conference/connected-britain

SUMMARY:Network X 2026
DESCRIPTION:Network X 2026\nOctober 13-15\, 2026 | VIECON\, Vienna\, Austria | Broadband Forum Pavilion\, Hall B\, Stand D25 \nLF Broadband Community saves 25% with code: LINUX25\nRegister for Network X 2026 \nLF Broadband will exhibit at Network X 2026 in the Broadband Forum pavilion. Network X unites the fixed and mobile telecommunications industries under one roof\, bringing together more than 5\,500 network infrastructure and service professionals\, including over 1\,500 telecom operators from across Europe and beyond. \nStop by the pod to meet the LF Broadband team\, learn how VOLTHA and SEBA provide the open\, observable foundation for AI in fixed broadband access\, and discuss production deployments underway at operators including Deutsche Telekom and Türk Telekom. \nJoin us at the LF Broadband pod\nLF Broadband is part of the Broadband Forum pavilion\, partnering on the floor with members Netsia and Radisys. Come by to talk through real-world VOLTHA and SEBA implementations at Deutsche Telekom and Türk Telekom\, and to hear how the LF Broadband Community Lab is helping OLT and ONT vendors move from a working codebase to production. Run by the VOLTHA TST\, hosted by Deutsche Telekom\, and supported by BISDN\, the lab provides continuous integration testing\, including hardware\, against real-world operator use cases and the VOLTHA and SEBA reference implementations\, which incorporate BBF TR-385\, TR-383\, and WT-525. \nLF Broadband Happy Hour\nWednesday\, October 14 at 15:00 CEST | LF Broadband pod\, Broadband Forum pavilion\, Hall B\, Stand D25 \nJoin the LF Broadband team\, board members\, and community at our pod for an informal happy hour on the show floor. Come continue the conversation from the BASe sessions\, meet the people behind VOLTHA and SEBA\, and connect with operators and vendors shaping the open source access stack. \nRelated programming: BBF BASe at Network X 2026\nThe Broadband Forum will run four BASe sessions at Network X\, included with Network X registration. LF Broadband member Radisys is on the “Beyond the Bit: The Multi-Gigabit Access Evolution” panel from 10:30 to 12:00 CEST on Wednesday\, October 14\, represented by Prakash Siva\, SVP and Head of Technology and Architecture. LF Broadband Governing Board voting representative Dr. Mehmet Özdem of Türk Telekom is on the operator-only roundtable “The Operator’s View of the Opportunities in 2027 and Beyond” from 13:30 to 15:00 CEST\, immediately before the happy hour. \nFull BASe at Network X 2026 agenda \nOur presence at Network X builds on the LF Broadband and Broadband Forum collaboration\, a bridge between standards and implementation.
